Owned equally between ROGA and the Nanwakolas Council, Nuxwi Ventures Ltd. is an incorporated company that combines the forestry arms of the Mamalilikulla, Tlowitsis, Da’naxda’xw Awaetlala, Wei Wai Kum and K’ómoks First Nations.
Nuxwi was conceived in 2020 as the primary timber harvesting and delivery contractor to represent the Nanwakolas member Nations. Nuxwi is proud to continue following the culture of safety and environmental respect that is essential to ROGA. With representation from both ownership groups forming the Board of Directors, Nuxwi has strong governance, transparency and oversight in its practice.
Nuxwi currently performs on an Evergreen load and haul contract with Western Forest Products, and will begin its own mechanical falling and processing operations in early spring of 2022.
